Chris Tapper

Born in Calgary Alberta raised in Edmonton Alberta. Having been born and raised on the Canadian prairies, there has always seemed to be a special connection to the land and people.

Chris' artistic sense is who he is and not who he has become.

Back in 1991 Chris attended Grant MacEwan College where he found his joy and connection with people and photography. After finishing college Chris worked in a small town studio as well as a one hour photo lab. Soon after these learning experience jobs Chris started his own photography business photographing weddings, portraits and commercial work such as Fort Calgary (City of Calgary), Alberta Ballet, Edmonton Opera and Capital Health Care Authority. In 1999 Chris was offered a part time photography instuctors position with Grant MacEwan community college in Edmonton Alberta. Chris taught part time photography at GMCC until April of 2006. In 2007 Chris moved to Comox British Columbia where he now teaches photography workshops and offers photographic services in lifestyle portraiture and wedding photography.
